McDonald’s Monopoly

October 29, 2007

Today was the last day of McDonald’s Monopoly. Kelly and I have played every year since we have been dating… and lost every year. This year we had high hopes. We poured some actual prayer into it, built up our faith and played, ate, and collected pieces. Of course God knows that we could use [...]

This week has been a busy one. Micah became ill (small fever, cough) Thursday and has been up and down. His slight cases of asthma has not helped. The rains came finally… and came and came some more. Just yesterday I was reading portions of Richard Foster’s book Prayer: Finding The Heart’s True Home. He divides the book into chapters about the different types of prayer (or postures of prayer). As [...]

Cool Conference

October 10, 2007

I went to a conference sponsored by the Piedmont Baptist Association yesterday and it was really awesome. It was co-sponsored by Gallop (the people who take polls) and the head of the “faith” department at Gallop was there presenting. The topic: a strengths assesment put out by Gallop. This strengths assessment is being used by [...]

Busy last 2 weeks

October 5, 2007

Well, it has been a busy last two weeks or so and I haven’t posted anything in a while. We went to Birmingham Al the last weekend of September… met with a pastor at Shades Mountain Independent Church (www.smic.org). It went well. Also met with a friend of mine from college who is supporting us.
Anyway, [...]
